Two weeks post-op update and recommendations for going through the surgery.

Two weeks have already gone by since my boob job operation, and I couldn't be more happy. But let's rewind what these two weeks have been for me, starting from the beginning right after getting out of the operating room and being placed in the hotel I was staying.

As I mentioned briefly in my last blog post, at first I didn't felt any sort of excruciating pain, It was rather an ongoing pressure in my chest. After all it was something alien being put in my body. This lack of pain was a result of numerous analgesics that extended in a way the effect of anesthesia in the first few days that my body was adapting itself to the implants.

For the first week I had to take those multiple pills , that included my hormones , all in different time slots, which was hard to keep track to. Additionally I had to use long tight medical socks that prevented the appearance of a blood clog in the span of that first week at all times.

I had the privilege to have my uncle as my surgeon, and with this came some benefits. Everyday of that first week post-op I went to my uncle's medical centre and him and his staff did followups that entail massages to reduce inflammation and retainment of liquids in the area , and treatments to the incision around the nipples.

I was treated like a princess there from the get-go and all the staff and my uncle were impressed by my smooth recovery.Even I was surprised , because prior to the surgery I heard multiple testimonies of people who had undergo a boob job and some of their anecdotes included: not being able to even go to the bathroom and remove their underwear by themselves, retching, dizziness, etc.

I received all of this information and I was mentally prepared to face those scenarios that were told to me, but my experience was completely different. The only thing that happened days after the surgery was that my incision was bleeding a little bit due to some retainment of liquids in my right boob , but then the bleeding stopped with the massages.

10 days after the surgery I was already able to hop in a plane back to my hometown and I stooped drinking the medications prescribed and using the uncomfortable anti-clogging socks. I am now recovering peacefully at home using my post-op bra all the time , and the only things that I have to do on a daily basis aside from wearing the post-op bra for the following three months is to daily disinfect the incision to prevent an infection.

Now that I have recounted the things that I have been experiencing with the surgery two weeks post-op , It's time to give my two cents into what many of you interested in undergoing a boob job in the nearest future or the long-run should be prepared mentally.

The overall results are not immediate, it is normal to see at the beginning a boob bigger than the other and to perceived them abnormally high and with a weird shape but they will progressively look better as days go by.

Be careful with the size of implants you choose , it is better to pick a smaller size of what you originally anticipated than going for a bigger size that could cause you back pain. And finally be aware prior to the surgery that only one month and a half later or two after the surgery you can resume all normal activities like going to the gym, clubs or the beach.

This following month or so I plan to read, write , watch old movies and going out with all precautions once in awhile. Staying at home never felt so gratifying to me , because not only I get to rest and do some of my favorite things , but I also get the chance of waking up everyday and seeing the progress of the surgery that I had yearned to have for so long.

I hope you liked it, feel free to comment down below.
